Donations
Once your big day is over consider recycling your wedding gown or formal gown and giving back to the environment by reducing waste, and helping a less fortunate couples dream come true. 20% of the proceeds from the sale of your dress will go to an associate charity of your choice and the remaining proceeds will be used to support our ongoing efforts of encouraging charitable giving and supporting an eco friendly environment.
We are looking for donation of contemporary and couture gowns.

It’s Eco-Chic
Green is Gorgeous and Eco-Chic... Here are a few suggestions to creating an Eco Chic Wedding that is socially responsible without sacrificing style. Many mainstream vendors offer natural, organic and recycled items and will be happy to provide options, to creating an exotic look for your wedding day.
Keep in mind that by choosing even one eco-friendly item for your wedding HELPS to preserve the earth!
The Ring
- Select a ring that is conflict free, in efforts to reform diamond mining in Africa
- Buy Jewelry made from recycled precious metals and stones
- Use a vintage family heirloom; have it melted down to recreate a unique classic wedding ring
The Gown
- Wedding gowns by nature are eco-friendly, select a timeless gown to pass on
- If you have purchased a brand new gown, donate it after your big day… to Something Borrowed… Something Green…
- Purchase or rent a previously own gown, while giving to the charity of your choice
- Use recycled accessories
The Invitation and Favors
· Use recycled, tree free paper, or plantable paper
· Select a favor that promotes your cause and use recycled ribbon
Location and Honeymoon
- Your location sets the tone for the cause...
- Consider a location that minimizes driving
- Consider an outdoor wedding, in a natural setting
- Select a horse-drawn carriage, as transportation
- Decorate with eco-friendly items, including dried arrangements
- Select an eco-friendly resort
Flowers
- Use organic flowers and locally grown flowers (organic bouquet’s can be exotic)
- Select flowers that are pesticide free
- Use beeswax and soy based candles
- Donate flowers to a hospital or a senior home, or make potpourri with your flowers
- Dry your flowers and used them as a centerpiece
Cake and Catering
· Use organic wine, champagne
· Ask caterer or cake baker to use organic ingredients
