Starting an exercise routine
Discuss honeymoon locations and have Wedding Planner begin research pricing. Book honeymoon. Obtain passports, if necessary.
Brainstorm with Wedding Planner to determine theme, color and style and finalize décor ideas.
Wedding Planner will refer Florist, Caterer, Baker, Photographer , DJ and all vendors and accompany you on meetings and assist with contract negotiations
Consult with Wedding Planner and Florist to determine floral designs
Consult with Wedding Planner to determine reception menu and meet with caterers.
Finalize contracts with your wedding photographer and videographer.
Determine music and interview bands/DJs.
Order your gown and headpiece.
Select the bridesmaid dress.
Determine if your ceremony location requires liability insurance.
Choose your officiant and discuss ceremony ideas.
Start gift registry for china, linen etc.
Wedding Planner will reserve hotel block of rooms for out-of-town guests.
4 Months Before
Consult with Wedding Planner to view wedding invitation styles and order invitations. Reserve Calligrapher
Look at photos to get ideas for wedding cake designs, and meet with bakers for cake tasting.
Purchase wedding rings and engrave if desired.
Select the groom’s tuxedo and determine what groomsmen will wear.
Ensure that your bridesmaids ordered their gowns and decide on accessories.
Have your mother’s select an order their dresses.
Get ideas for wedding favors.
Confirm dates for bridal showers and bachelorette parties.
Wedding Planner will reserve rental equipment such as chairs, tables, linens, tents, etc.
Wedding Planner will reserve your rehearsal dinner location.
Try new hair and makeup for wedding day.
Ask any family or friends whom you would like to give readings, sing solos, serve as attendant or host, etc.
Make appointment with Gynecologist.
Have Formal Bridal portrait taken give readings, sing solos, serve as attendant or host, etc.
Give your guest list to shower hostesses
Consider getting wedding insurance.
Update your wedding website
2 - 3 Months Before
Finalize guest list and submit invitations to calligrapher.
Reserve your makeup artist and hairstylist.
Order your wedding favors.
Finalize and order Centerpieces, Candles, ring pillow and other wedding accessories!
Sign up for dance classes.
Select gifts for each other, your attendants, and your parents.
Ensure tuxedos have been ordered for groom/groomsmen.
Prepare for your honeymoon –Shop for clothes
Wedding Planner will finalize wedding transportation.
Set up joint bank accounts and insurance.
Select your music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and review with Wedding Planner, DJ, musicians, and singers.
Wedding Planner will finalize rehearsal dinner plans and order rehearsal invitations, menus, table numbers, place cards, escort cards, and any other stationery accessories.
Mail invitations 2 months before your wedding day.
1 - 2 Months Before
Have bridal gown fitting.
Wedding Planner will finalize ceremony readings and songs, and review with performers.
Order liquor/beverages not managed by caterer.
Meet with your officiant to finalize the ceremony, including attendant line-up.
Begin writing your vows.
Obtain your marriage license.
Provide Wedding Planner with a photo and video shot list, naming important family members and guests.
Have Wedding Planner schedule the bridesmaids’ luncheon. Buy attendant gifts
Begin whitening your teeth for your wedding day.
3 - 4 Weeks Before
Confirm finalized music lists with Wedding Planner and all musicians.
Practice your first dance wearing your bridal shoes.
Work with Wedding Planner to create wedding day timeline, design and order your wedding program.
Confirm honeymoon and travel arrangements, and give family your itinerary in case of emergency.
Wedding Planner will call guests who haven’t RSVP’d.
Get your marriage license
Change your name on legal documents.
Mail your rehearsal-dinner invitations.
1 - 2 Weeks Before
Have your final wedding gown fitting.
Your Wedding Planner will finalize your wedding-day schedule and itinerary (including receiving-line order) and share with attendants, parents, and all vendors.
Confirm all of your beauty and pampering appointments.
Wedding Planner will confirm pick-up times, schedules, and addresses with your wedding-day transportation.
Pick up your wedding dress and make sure you have all of your accessories.
Pick up the groom’s Tux, and make sure he has r all of his accessories
Finalize your vows for the ceremony.
Get your hair cut and colored.
Confirm final guest count and Wedding Planner will provide count caterer
Wedding Planner will give final attendance numbers to vendors and confirm final date/time for deliverables and rental pick-ups after wedding.
Pack for your going away clothing and for honeymoon. Purchase traveler’s checks.
Create a “wedding box” to gather your accessories (marriage license, candles, ring pillow, guest book) for Wedding Planner to transport.
Create a reception box” for accessories such as guest books, toasting glasses, cake toppers, etc., for Wedding Planner to transport.
Prepare all of your wedding favors for transportation to reception venue and give them to Wedding Planner.
Finalize your seating arrangements and submit to Wedding Planner.
Prepare place cards.
Wedding Planner will confirm dates/times/locations for all photo and video sessions the day of the wedding.
Wedding Planner will confirm dates/times/locations with all vendors.
Move into new home.
The Day Before
Wedding Planner will prepare a list of payment envelopes for distributing to vendors.
Wedding Planner will distribute assignment lists and checklists to ensure everyone knows their tasks, including person responsible for transporting gifts.
Ensure that Wedding Planner has ceremony, reception and favor box.
Wedding Planner will mail your announcement cards.
Assemble your wedding dress, accessories
Get a manicure, pedicure, and massage.
Wedding Planner will direct ceremony rehearsal officiant and wedding party.
Wedding Planner will bring bridal emergency kit.
The Wedding Day
Your day has arrived! You may be nervous, but try to eat breakfast and drink plenty of fluids.
Take a lavender bath – it’s very relaxing.
Be sure to wear a button-down shirt for your hair and makeup appointments.
After the Wedding
Get your wedding dress cleaned and preserved.
Preserve your bouquet.
Write and mail your thank-you notes.
Complete your name-change kit.
Check into your store’s bridal registry completion program.
Meet with photographer and videographer to finalize albums/video.
