Internship Description
The interns will assist with at least 5 events during the summer and will assist with tasks as needed during the rehearsal, ceremony and reception. This internship will offer hands-on experience in day-of event execution and you will work directly with our Lead Planner and our Event Assistant.

Junior or Senior in a related field -Previous coursework or hands-on experience in event planning is preferred
Must be available to work weekends (especially Fridays and Saturdays) as needed throughout the summer months, May-September, as well as some Thursdays and Sundays
This is a part time Internship and is not paid. Must apply towards college credit
How many hours (minimum) would you like each intern to work per week?
Each intern will work approximately 5-7 events during the internship and each event will consist of roughly 12-16 hours of work. Work hours will be on Fridays and Saturdays, with an occasional Thursday or Sunday.
Part-time Wedding Coordinator/Designer
We are currently seeking energetic self starter with demonstrated experience developing, planning, coordinating, & executing Weddings and Special Events.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for networking with industry vendors, bringing in clients, preparing a budget and managing it, time management, negotiating contracts with vendors, planning details such as party favors, color schemes, food and bar menu, and all other aspects of the event.
· Responsible for attending and executing the entire event from start to finish.
· Plan, coordinate & communicate effectively with all regarding events such as: resources, timelines, requirements, etc
· Assist with planning and participating in Bridal Show event
· Maintain the proper image & generate positive public relations with artists, clients, exhibitors, patrons and staff
· Maintain & utilize current contacts and relationships with other Management Companies.
· Work closely with other team member to provide a consistently high level of service.
Requirements:
· At least 1 year Wedding and Event planning experience.
- Event planning certification. (or working towards it)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple time and budget sensitive responsibility
- Enthusiastic, Creative, friendly and professional demeanor
- Clean driver’s license record, own transportation and clean police record
- Other Skills: Strong organization and time-management, ability to multitask in a fast paced environment, budget management, detail-oriented, and problem solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Available to work nights and weekends; some travel may be required.
